Tell me about your entrepreneurial journey: My heritage is deeply rooted in the vibrant cultures of Mexico City and Oaxaca. Growing up, I was inspired by the stories of my grandmother, who raised nine children. To provide for her family, she crafted homemade candies from the fruit trees in her "pueblo" and sold them. My mother, who assisted her, imbibed the values of entrepreneurship and resilience from these experiences, driven not only by indigenous and family values but also by the necessity of survival.

I witnessed my mother’s unwavering determination to ensure we had more opportunities than she ever had. She juggled various jobs and always maintained a side business, embodying an entrepreneurial spirit that left a lasting impression on me. While I learned about having a strong work ethic, I also was passed on generational trauma that impacted my mental health leading to cycles of burnout and depression. I witnessed many of my community members being hurt by others who discriminated against and abused us. I became a trauma-informed, decolonizing marriage and family therapist to dive deeper into emotional healing and to be the healing support I needed while empowering others in their healing journey.

As a mother to a beautiful baby girl and a mentor to many young BIPOC women, I am dedicated to help empower generational healing and leadership by embracing challenges and sharing our stories, I aim to use our rich individual and collective heritage as a source of healing and ancestral wisdom. This mission is a tribute to my family’s legacy and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

What is your mission?: Tune in to embark on a remarkable voyage towards living your best, most empowered life!"

What do you want people to know about you?: My full name is Alejandra Belen Cortes Narvaez Lopez Ramirez. I am proud of my roots and so humbled to be surrounded by remarkable people and opportunities in this lifetime.

What's your favorite mama life hack?: I frequently take baby Malex out to nature (this could range from a short hike to a park or a local store with plants). It is incredible to see how mesmerized she looks and how calm she feels when she is in nature. It also helps me find my breath and feel present with myself and with her.
